  1. haven’t been to one of these since i was about 13. They used to hold them in The Arches, I bought a very rare Nirvana recording back in 1993.

Have you been recently? Picked up anything worthwhile??

  2. I go to them religiously. There are bargains galore to be had if you know where to look. If you want to do the Kelvin Hall one properly it requires patience, dedication and a willingness to spend a lot of time on your knees or on your arse under the tables, where the real bargains lurk.

There’s still some bootlegs to be found, but it’s cleaned up a bit since one of the last SECC fairs when the police frogmarched one of the stallholders out of the building. I was browsing there at the time – it was a pretty bizarre experience. Apparently he was running one of the UK’s biggest bootlegging operations (bootlegs as opposed to pirate recordings, I stress)

  3. well I’m not really opposed to bootlegs as such, although only good quality recordings.

I just bought myself a record player so I have been splashing out on vinyl. I think ill go down and see what is on offer.

Speaking of vinyl, the Boomkat, Leaf Label and Resonant sales are fantastic!!!

Also, Aphex Twin at T in the Park <——— WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!
